The following is a news update from the self-proclaimed "Creator" read at your own leisure...
I'm finally back from my time away at Download, and my God do I have a thing or two to share with you all! How should I begin? Ahh, of course! A day-by-day list of what I got up to. Here goes:
Day 1: I woke up around 6 AM and hopped onto a bus around 7, then jumped onto 3 separate trains, followed by one last bus journey and roughly an hour of plodding along with a congested crowd of fellow campers. (Lots of plodding throughout the course of the trip mind you) The whole journey took about 4 hours or more, while lugging ass-loads of camping gear across bumpy terrain...I had to sit down for about an hour to recover.

We all set up our camps in close range, pumping up our air beds and pillows while looking at the endless sea of tents. When the evening came around, it was time for my first true alcohole session...Oddly enough, I liked how I felt after getting past the taste of several drinks. (Includes mixing things like Lemonade and Pimms.) Since that day, I've seen alcohole in a new light, now I know why everyone likes it so much. The rest of the night was a blur, but it was a GOOD blur! One ore thing, festival toilets are beyond description.
Day 2: Settled down in our camps and played a few games to pass the time. Frisbee, juggling, card games, checking out the stalls and simply chatting to pass the time. Tomorrow the bands would begin performing, so we did what we could to make it through the second day...And yes, more drinking! Cooking noodles in a pot inside a tent with a small stove feel cosy somehow, and I would carry on for each day.

Day 3: You know, there's hearing music, and then there's FEELING it! After plodding along with a crowd for an hour or two towards the stage areas, I found myself clappping and jumping to the sweet sound of live music. The bands worth listing were Radiohead, Disturbed, Rise Against and KISS. (Oh, and mosh pits.) And to end the day, there was a uge tent devoted to Guitar Hero 3, with tons of viewers watching others perform...not well to be fair, but it was very funny. The drinking made it more so.

Day 4: More or less the same as day 3, only there was a Rock band area too, which I joined in on and showed the viewers how to really work the drums! The bands seen today were Pendulum and The Offspring. (And how sweet it was.) Rest was needed, the final day was closing in.

Day 5: The last day of the festival, but I made sure it was a good one. After heading to the stalls to restock on food and other such products, I headed out to the final performances of the weekend. In Flames, Within Temptation, Jimmy Eat World! They were all there, and they all rocked harder than ever before. Nowmight be a good time to note that there were plenty of girls showing off the goods while being carried on the shoulders of other fans. "Get yer tits out!" Was a common phrase. After heading back to the camp and fueling myself with the last of our beloved alcohole, I entered a large dancing area. And by dncing, I mean rocking to heavy music while joining in on mosh pits every minute! Tiring and sometimes painful, but it felt great breaking loose and letting out all those wild and primal energies. I didn't feel the slightest bit cold when I went to bed that night.

And the next day we packed up all our gear around 6 AM and headed for home, reliving the 4 hour journey again for the memories...Painful memories with sore feet and fading patience with one another. Yes, that would be today as fate would have it.
After all the things I experienced and went through on that week, I think it's safe to say I'd love to go again next year. All the energy, all the atmosphere and untamed entertainment, I must feel more of it.

That covers all the important details of my trip, and I'm glad to be home with a comfortable bed, four walls and clean toilets.

What are you doing here? The news is over, done with, ka-putt!
